Breyer Foundation has had the privilege of supporting people through the Women’s Wellbeing Support programme by giving funding. Many of the beneficiaries of this work have faced significant exposure to trauma and battle serious mental health challenges as a result of prolonged cycles of homelessness.
Since January 2022 alone, 114 direct beneficiaries (i.e. women and non-binary individuals) have been supported through this programme, which has included:
* 139 wellbeing sessions and activities including: Breakfast Clubs, Aromatherapy classes, Arts Clubs, VR Drop Ins, gardening, Women’s Wellbeing Festival, Songwriting & Recording sessions, Visioning Workshops, Confidence-building, Peer Pathway groups.
* 324 weekly wellbeing sessions: where psychological wellbeing therapists (PWT) engage in weekly therapy sessions with Evolve’s customers, including counselling, grounding techniques, coping strategies, VR, art, music, walking.
* 142 drop-in sessions to customers for ad-hoc PWT appointments, to discuss health and wellbeing needs as they arise. This can lead to signposting to internal or external services and can be more helpful to provide immediate support as needed.
* Approximately 34 beneficiaries have also engaged with the Work + Learning programme as a result of working with the Health + Wellbeing team.
It is rewarding to be informed that an increasing number of women have been engaging with this programme throughout the year, which helps to prove the value of the services provided.
