Rebecca Maher from Renew, Liz Obertelli and Lisa Campbell Price from our Social Value & Communities team, rolled up their sleeves and joined 50 other volunteers from B Corp accredited organisations in helping B Corp celebrate their 1000 member milestone.
The 1000x Better event was set against the striking interiors of the Natural History Museum in London with ‘Hope’ – the Blue Whale who now presides over Hintze Hall – as the fitting backdrop to the sustainably-focused celebrations, which included an amazing performance by The Rock Choir.
The event provided a forum for the founders of B Corp UK to join with pioneering business leaders from across the country, from start-ups to multinationals, in celebrating the UK’s leadership through this global movement as it reaches a membership of 1000. It also created opportunities for reflection on what more is needed to create an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet.
Breyer Group is one of the first companies of its kind to achieve B Corp certification in the UK and it’s an achievement we’re proud of. It sees us join the likes of The Guardian, The Body Shop, Jamie Oliver and over 4,000 other businesses worldwide who are seeking to reinvent business by pursuing profit and purpose as a “force for good”. This prestigious accreditation recognises our drive to meet rigorous social and environmental standards, as well as honour our financial commitments.
Thank you B Corp UK for a great evening.
